The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Athens School District, Athens, Illinois was called to order by President Penrod on November 13, 2017 at 6:45 p.m.

Executive Session
Motion by Mrs. Mayfield, seconded by Mr. Ingram to enter into executive session for the discussion of matters pertaining to personnel at 6:45 p.m.

Reception Of Visitors, Petitions, Communciations
Melody Starkey and Brodee McCormick, of the Athens FFA Chapter, shared a power point presentation highlighting the 2017 National Convention that was held in Indianapolis in October.

Motion by Mrs. Mayfield, seconded by Mr. Ingram to approve the employment of Mr. Patrick Dixon, as a custodian at Athens Junior High School, effective immediately, and accept the resignation of Mrs. Jackie Lindsay, from her position as Varsity Softball coach, at Athens High School, effective immediately.

Three Circles FFA Grant
