City of Lincoln issued the following announcement on Jan. 9.
Beginning Monday, January 11, 2021, The Street Department will begin comprehensive cleanup for storm debris along with collecting Christmas trees.
Storm debris and Christmas trees should be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 AM that morning. Crews have already picked up some areas but will return and complete a full pass through the City. They will not return to an area after a pass has been made to pick up anything that was not put out in time.
Storm debris –
The Street Department reserves the right not to pick up any unnecessarily large loads of storm debris.
Christmas trees-
Christmas trees need to be removed from bags and be free from all decorating materials and stands. Any trees not meeting these requirements will not be picked up.
Landscape Waste Facility -
Citizens may also dispose of their storm debris and Christmas trees at the Landscape Waste Facility located at 957 Broadwell Dr. The extended hours will be Wednesday, January 6th through Sunday, January 10th, 8:00am to 3:50pm. The normal Wednesday and Saturday schedule will resume on January 13th.
