HOW IT HAPPENED
- With the scoreboard reading 20 points a piece, late momentum fell into the Lynx's hands after a bundle of hitting errors from Saint Xaiver. Lincoln College forced extra play and had a chance to take the lead with an kill attempt by Garret Hooker but the junior was called for an attacking error, 25-26. From there, the Cougars closed things out and started the night off 0-1, winning 25-27.
- The Lynx struggled to get any offense going in the second set. Coach Van Bogaert's team finished with a .080 hitting percentage losing Set 2, 14-25.
- Saint Xavier rattled of three consecutive set hitting percentages of .257, .323 and .412 in Sets 1, 2 and 3, respectively.
- Lincoln College finished strong with their best hitting performance of the night in Set 3, .133, but it wasn't enough to catch up to the heavy offensive-attack of the Cougars.
- Saint Xaiver topped the Lynx in three sets, 27-25, 25-14 and 25-19 inside the Lincoln Center.
