City of Athens City Council met Feb. 9.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
Mayor Reichert called the meeting to order at 7:21pm. The roll call takenindicated that Alderman Chernowsky, Alderman Hoffman, Alderman Puma, Alderman Tobias, Alderman Lantz, and Alderman Thompson were present. Nicole McCormick served as clerk in Rhonda Ethell’s absence.
Everyone paused for a moment of silence for former Mayor, Don Neisler.
Nicole McCormick gave the Office Manager’s report.
Ginger Newingham gave the Library report.
The new Christmas lights were purchased for 3300.00. There is a total of 30 lights.
Alderman Thompson asked for an update on Mr. Rathbone’s building. He was not in attendance. Mayor Reichert stated he would contact him to see if he is available to give an update at Mondays meeting.
Motion made by Alderman Lantz and seconded by Alderman Puma to adjourn.
Meeting adjourned at 7:57pm.
