The Illinois College women's swimming team faced a setback in their home opener against Coe, losing 117-80 at the Coultas Natatorium in Jacksonville, Illinois. This result places the Lady Blues at a 1-2 record for the season.

Abby Stevens, a freshman from Canton, Illinois, delivered notable performances by winning both the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:12.23 and the 500-yard freestyle clocking in at 5:47.66. Stevens also contributed to her team's success in the relay events by partnering with Emma Dunsworth, Julie Edwards, and Jena Sellers to secure victory in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:05.87.

Additionally, Abbey Glaser achieved success for Illinois College by winning the 1,000-yard freestyle event with a time of 12:17.27.

Looking ahead, the Lady Blues are scheduled to compete again on November 2nd when they travel to Monmouth for a meet starting at 1:00 p.m.
