Illinois College Offensive Coordinator Drew Chance has been recognized as the 2024 NCAA Division III Coordinator of the Year by FootballScoop. The announcement was made in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Chance will receive his award at the American Football Coaches Association Convention in Charlotte later this month.
Under Chance's leadership, the 2024 Blueboys lead the nation in total offense with an average of 589.4 yards per game and scoring at 55.4 points per game. They rank second in passing with 376.4 yards per game and are 16th in rushing, averaging 213 yards per game.
The FootballScoop Coach of the Year Program is now in its 17th season and remains unique as winners are chosen by their peers. Coaches must be nominated by a fellow coach to qualify for consideration, and each category's winner is selected by previous winners.
This program acknowledges outstanding performance and character across all on-the-field positions and significant off-the-field roles within FBS, along with coordinators at FCS, Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels.
