Illinois College men’s swimming triumphs over Millikin and Illinois Wesleyan

The Illinois College men's swimming and diving team achieved a clean sweep in their dual meets on Friday at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center in Bloomington, Illinois. The Blueboys secured victories over Millikin with a score of 128-67 and defeated host Illinois Wesleyan 117-76.

In the relay events, the team saw success with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The squad comprising Scottie Nicotra, Scott Sosnowski, Eli Eberle, and Nathen Trachta completed the race in 1:32.76. Another victory was recorded by the 200-yard medley relay team of John Masiliunas, Cooper Meyer, Eberle, and Trachta who finished first with a time of 1:44.18.

Individually, Cooper Meyer excelled by winning both the 1-meter (181.90) and 3-meter (168.70) diving events. Additionally, Scottie Nicotra claimed first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 51.12.

Looking ahead, the Blueboys are scheduled to compete at Monmouth next Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
