Paige Nowak set a new school record at the Hilltop Invite held in Jacksonville, Illinois. Competing on Friday at King Fieldhouse, Nowak achieved a milestone in the pole vault by clearing 3.29 meters, securing fifth place.
The Lady Blues had several notable performances during the event. Deja Anderson finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 26.60 seconds, closely followed by Haley Garrett who took third place with a time of 26.67 seconds. Anderson also secured fifth place in the 60 meters, clocking in at 8.01 seconds.
In the distance medley relay, Morgan Carrino, Claire Peters, Kairy Mercado-Ramos, and Sara McAuliffe collectively earned third place with a time of 14:42.74. Aleese Trimingham also contributed to the team's success by finishing fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.71 seconds.
The Lady Blues are scheduled to compete again next weekend at the Midwest Conference Indoor Championships in Ripon.
