The Illinois College men's and women's track teams began their 2023-24 season at the Olivet Nazarene University Holiday Open in Bourbonnais, Illinois. The teams added seven new top-five records to the college's record books across six events, including the men's weight throw, men's and women's 60m, women's 60m hurdles, men's 200m, and women's pole vault.

In the men's weight throw event, Deon Rodgers led with a throw of 52-08.23 feet (16.06m), securing fourth place overall and ranking third all-time in IC records for that event. Xander Moushon followed with a fifth-place finish and a throw of 49-02.50 feet (15.00m), ranking fifth all-time for IC.

Dylan Doss recorded a time of 6.98 seconds in the preliminaries of the men's 60m event, tying for second in IC history for that category. In the same event on the women's side, Mattie Brown finished seventh with a time of 8.06 seconds, placing her fifth all-time at IC.

Aleese Trimingham secured sixth place in the women's 60m hurdles with a time of 9.98 seconds, ranking fourth all-time at IC.

In the men's 200m race, first-year student Dylan Doss placed third overall with a time of 22.47 seconds, marking him third all-time in this event for IC.

Paige Nowak and Madeline Benson both cleared heights of 10-4.74 feet (3.17m) in the women's pole vault to finish second and third respectively; Benson's performance was her personal best and ranks third all-time at IC.

Jackson Lee achieved third place in the men's pole vault with a clearance of 13-09.25 (4.20m).

The long jump events saw Adam Sipes finishing eighth with a mark of 20-00.50 (6.11m) while Jackson Lee took ninth place jumping 19-09.75 (6.04m). Deja Anderson placed sixth overall in her competition with a jump measuring 16-09.75 (5.12m).

Lee also participated in the men's track event for the 60m hurdles where he finished second overall clocking an impressive time of just under nine seconds—8:88 sec—and Adam Hernandez came close behind him earning himself third place by crossing it within hundredths more than his peer’s effort timing-wise: recording only slightly slower result-wise altogether though still commendable achievement nonetheless given circumstances around them then happening too so suddenly right before our eyes!

DJ Williams completed his run through four-hundred meter distance covering span over fielded area remarkably fast despite stiff opposition faced throughout course duration ending eventually securing satisfactory placement alongside others competing fiercely till very end achieving sixth spot finally thanks largely due perseverance shown consistently throughout entire ordeal itself being testament
