Illinois College women’s tennis team shines in Midwest Conference opener

The Illinois College women's tennis team achieved six singles victories and two doubles wins during the opening day of the Midwest Conference Individual Championship held in Madison, Wisconsin.

In singles competition, five players from the Lady Blues secured 1-1 records. Alyssa Wise competed at No. 1, Sophie Muir at No. 3, Lily Ingram at No. 4, Madison Eastin at No. 5, and Sabrina Ingram at No. 6 each recorded a win.

In doubles matches, two teams finished the day undefeated with a 1-0 record. Michelle Maag paired with Lily Ingram at No. 2 and Madison Eastin teamed up with Chloe Plough at No. 3.

The championship is set to conclude on Sunday.
