The Midwest Conference Championships concluded on Sunday at the Russell K. Osgood Pool in Grinnell, Iowa, with notable performances from the Blueboys. The team secured a fifth-place finish, accumulating 244 points throughout the event.
A highlight of the day was Nathen Trachta's record-setting performance in the 200-yard butterfly, where he clocked a time of 2:01.66, adding a new entry to IC's record book. Trachta also contributed to the team's seventh-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay alongside Eli Eberle, James Hammond, and John Masiliunas with a combined time of 3:23.48.
James Hammond achieved an 11th place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:37.52. Close behind was Xavier Applegate who finished 12th at 19:43.97.
In other events, John Masiliunas took 14th place in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.38. Eli Eberle recorded a time of 48.32 to secure the 13th position in the 100-yard freestyle.
Cooper Meyer completed IC's participation by finishing in the 12th position for the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:24.09.
