Cooper Meyer and Eli Eberle led the Illinois College men's swim team to notable performances at the Illinois Wesleyan Tri-Meet held in Bloomington, Illinois. Meyer secured victories in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, achieving scores of 149.01 and 169.75 respectively. Eberle excelled in the 100-meter butterfly with a winning time of 54.35.
In the dual competition, Illinois College defeated Millikin with a score of 86-77 but was overcome by Illinois Wesleyan, who scored 138 against IC's 49.
James Hammond contributed to the team's success by finishing second in the 1,650-meter freestyle with a time of 19:42.10. The relay team composed of John Masiliunas, Cooper Meyer, Eli Eberle, and Nathen Trachta also earned second-place finishes in both the 200-meter medley relay (1:45.02) and the 200-meter freestyle relay (1:36.18).
The Blueboys are set to compete again on Saturday, January 27th at Monmouth.
