Rep. Mike Coffey joins Illinois' new 104th General Assembly

State Representative Mike Coffey has been sworn into the 104th General Assembly, representing Illinois' 95th District. He expressed his readiness to continue working towards improving life for citizens in Illinois.

“It is an honor and privilege to represent the 95th District and I look forward to working with my colleagues in the 104th General Assembly to make Illinois a better place to work and call home,” said Rep. Coffey. “My legislative plan will promote growth for businesses, lower the tax burden that is crushing Illinois families, and enhancing public safety throughout our communities.”

Rep. Coffey has advocated for reducing taxes, fostering economic growth, supporting veterans, and assisting senior citizens. During his first term, he launched "Mike on Main Street," meeting with business owners to discuss their concerns with state government. His experience in business and community service provides a unique perspective in Springfield.

Coffey stated, “I want to pledge to my constituents in the 95th District that I will always be your voice at the Capitol and stand for what is right. Although we have an uphill battle, I’m committed to working on legislation that is in the best interest of the people of Illinois. I look forward to working in the new 104th General Assembly and bring sound solutions to state issues and advocate for fiscal responsibility.”

Representative Mike Coffey serves parts of Sangamon County including portions of Springfield, Chatham, Rochester as well as parts of Macon and Christian Counties.
