St. John's Hospital Springfield Illinois issued the following announcement on Sept. 23
To help ensure uninsured and underinsured women receive their annual mammogram HSHS St. John’s Cancer Center is offering Mammogram Mondays in October.
“We are offering free mammograms on Mondays in October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for uninsured and underinsured women in this area,” said St. John’s Cancer Center Operations Manager Jennifer Pankey, RN, MSN, MBA. “Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women in America. It’s also one of the most treatable when detected early. Screening mammography offers the best chance of finding breast cancer early.”
Mammography Mondays are funded by HSHS St. John’s Foundation.
