Radiothon Benefiting HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital Goes Virtual for Second Year

St. John's Hospital Springfield Illinois issued the following announcement on Nov. 16

Radiothon, a program of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, is an annual fundraiser held locally that benefits HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital. 103.7 WDBR, 101.9 the WOLF and WTAX 1240AM/93.9FM will be broadcasting from the studio for 26 hours to raise funds and awareness for the hospital.

Tune in to hear amazing stories of triumph and inspiration from children and families touched by HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital. Radio personalities will interview families of patients, hospital colleagues and representatives from local businesses that have raised funds to improve the lives of children in central Illinois served by St. John’s Children’s Hospital.

Volunteers will be calling their family and friends and accepting donations via a special giving link through Zoom -- but anyone can create a giving page! To create your giving page – or purchase CMN merchandise go to: sjchildrens.org/radiothon.

In the past 16 years, supporters of the radiothon have raised more than $1.5 million for St. John’s Children’s Hospital, a proud member of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

“We want to thank everyone in the community for their support of the radiothon and to everyone who contributes in support of St. John’s Children's Hospital,” said Bev Neisler, chief development officer of HSHS St. John’s Foundation. “We are also appreciative of Capitol Radio Group for their ongoing support of the radiothon. It has truly made a difference.”

All funds raised stay local to support the pediatric programs for the 50,000 children treated each year at St. John’s Children’s Hospital.
