Robby Biesenthal set a new school record for Illinois College at the Midwest Conference Championships held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Competing at Seminole Valley Park, Biesenthal finished 16th overall with a time of 26:13.7 in the 8K race, earning All-Conference honors and establishing the fastest time in program history for that distance.
Illinois College placed sixth as a team at the event. Nick Hannig recorded the second-fastest 8K time in school history with a 26:24.6 finish, placing him 21st overall. Other notable performances included Camden Pierce, who was third among Illinois College runners and finished 59th overall with a time of 28:09.1; Zac Howard, who came in 64th at 28:18; Jack Rogers, who placed 67th with a time of 28:25.5; and Caden Dettmer, who finished in 79th place at 28:51.1. Jack Bacon rounded out the team's finishers by placing 98th with a time of 30:47.2.
The team will compete next at the NCAA Regional meet scheduled for November 15 in Waverly, Iowa.
