The Illinois College women's swimming team secured a third-place finish at the Monmouth Invite held Saturday at the Pepper Natatorium in Monmouth, Illinois. Freshman Jadyn Grismer led the Lady Blues with two individual victories, winning the 50-yard freestyle in 25.45 seconds and taking first place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.25.
In relay action, Grismer joined Claire Zell, Laci O'Malley, and Abby Stevens to earn third place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:02.27. Additional notable performances included O'Malley's fourth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (1:08.27) and Stevens placing fourth in the 500-yard freestyle (5:50.02).
Looking ahead, Illinois College is set to host Monmouth for their home debut of the 2025-26 season at Coultas Natatorium on November 8 at 1:00 p.m.
